Important Notice
D1 Arena is an esports tournament, live-streaming, and community platform operated by D1 Arena Inc. Tournament formats are designed around participant or team performance, but eligibility and legal treatment can depend on the game, event rules, entry method, prize, participant age and location, and applicable law. D1 Arena does not promise that every contest is lawful in every jurisdiction. Users and organizers must follow the event rules, the Terms of Use, and applicable law.

Competition and Texas Law
Texas Penal Code Chapter 47 defines a bet and excludes certain prize offers to actual contestants in bona fide contests for the determination of skill, speed, strength, or endurance. The statute is available from the Texas Legislature. D1 structures tournaments around recorded player or team performance and publishes event rules, brackets, results, fees, and prize information. Because games and contest facts vary, this description is not a legal determination about a specific event or location.
Tournament Eligibility and Location Controls
Free and paid tournament availability is determined by the event configuration and account eligibility controls. Paid-entry tournament participation is currently blocked for accounts located in Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Tennessee. Location controls are a product safeguard, not a representation that participation is lawful everywhere else. D1 may add, remove, or change restrictions as law, provider rules, or risk controls change.
Age and Parent/Guardian Controls
- Under 13: Accounts are not permitted.
- Ages 13–17: Parent/guardian verification is required under D1 policy. Youth accounts may join free tournaments but cannot enter paid tournaments or receive cash tournament prizes.
- Youth creator monetization: A separate parent/guardian monetization-consent and Stripe setup path may allow eligible tips or supporter-subscription earnings. This does not enable paid-entry tournaments or cash tournament prizes.
- Ages 18+: Access to paid tournaments, prizes, and creator payouts remains subject to location, identity, tax, account, event, and provider requirements.
COPPA generally concerns online collection of personal information from children under 13. D1's additional controls for users ages 13–17 are platform safety and eligibility rules and should not be read as a statement that COPPA applies to every teen account.
Membership Tiers and Current Economics
- Starter: Free; eligible creator product share is 75% before processing; tournament total fee 11.4%; RTMP up to 720p; VOD retention 10 days.
- PRO: $14.99/month; eligible creator product share is 82% before processing; tournament total fee 9.4%; RTMP or SRT up to 720p; VOD retention 30 days.
- Ultimate: $29.99/month; eligible creator product share is 90% before processing; tournament total fee 8.4%; RTMP, SRT, or WHIP up to 1080p; VOD retention 60 days; ad-free viewing.
- Partner: Invite-only; eligible creator product share is 95% before processing; tournament total fee 7.4%; RTMP, SRT, or WHIP up to 2160p; VOD retention 90 days; ad-free viewing.
For creator tips and supporter subscriptions, the product share before processing is 75% on Starter, 82% on PRO, 90% on Ultimate and 95% on Partner. Processing components are separate, so these percentages are not final creator deposits. Review the transaction’s fee breakdown for the amount allocated to the creator.

Payments, Wallet Records, and Payouts
Stripe processes payments, connected-account onboarding, and eligible creator payouts. D1 does not offer a general consumer wallet deposit or add-funds product. The wallet interface records eligible earnings, tournament refunds or prizes, and payout activity. A general manual withdrawal button is not available to every account. Tips and supporter subscriptions use Stripe payment flows and connected-account routing; tournament prizes follow the tournament hold and administrator-approval workflow. Identity, tax, bank-account, chargeback, reserve, and provider requirements may delay or prevent a payout.
Current tournament payout automation is not a bi-monthly automatic release: the bi-monthly command is disabled and unscheduled, and tournament payouts require the active approval workflow. A connected Stripe account may separately use a provider-managed bank payout schedule.
Identity and Tax Processing
D1 uses Stripe Connect and Stripe Identity for relevant onboarding, identity, parent/guardian, advertiser, and payment checks. Stripe may collect identity documents, selfies, address, tax, bank, and payment information through Stripe-hosted flows. D1 stores provider identifiers, statuses, verified outputs needed by the product, and audit records; D1 does not store full payment-card numbers or full identity-document files. Stripe retains and processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. Stripe Identity data is not automatically deleted merely because verification succeeds; verified sessions can be redacted through Stripe's supported process when appropriate.
Users remain responsible for their own tax obligations. Forms, thresholds, reporting party, and retention depend on the transaction and Stripe account configuration; no page on D1 is individual tax advice.
Streaming and Native Communications
D1 accepts RTMP for every tier, SRT for PRO, Ultimate, and Partner, and WHIP for Ultimate and Partner. Compatible WHIP viewers attempt WHEP playback first and fall back to HLS when needed. Access and maximum resolution are enforced by account tier.
Watch Parties provide synchronized playback of D1-hosted VODs, party chat, and host-controlled native voice access (off, friends, or signed-in participants), with camera and screen sharing where available. Supported messaging surfaces provide friends-only voice/video calls with blocking and age-band protections. Team HQ provides authenticated text, voice, camera, and screen sharing for authorized team members. These communication rules also apply to supported multi-person friend conversations and calls, in addition to direct messages, Team HQ and Watch Parties.
Real-time media uses WebRTC with DTLS-SRTP, peer-to-peer routing when possible, and coturn relay fallback. D1 processes authentication, signaling, roster, safety, and activity metadata needed to operate these features. The current implementation does not record or store call media. Users must not record, capture, or redistribute another person's voice, video, or screen without authorization and any consent required by law.
Artificial Intelligence
D1 uses xAI/Grok for functions such as moderation assistance, support, game detection, diagnostics, and optional content generation. User content and relevant context may be sent to xAI. xAI states that standard API requests and responses may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and are not used to train models without permission; zero-data-retention treatment applies only when enabled for the applicable xAI team. D1 also stores some AI prompts, responses, corrections, moderation results, and support history when needed to provide, secure, audit, or improve D1 features. Automated controls may hold, limit, or flag content, and available enforcement actions can be appealed through D1 support.
Advertising and Creator Revenue
D1 operates its current ad-serving platform and retains platform advertising revenue. There is no creator ad-revenue share in the current product. Ultimate and Partner include ad-free viewing as configured. Creator revenue percentages described above apply to eligible supporter subscriptions and tips, not advertising.
Data, Retention, and Account Lifecycle
See the Privacy Policy for categories, providers, retention, and rights. Ordinary stream-chat messages are subject to the current 30-day cleanup process; moderation, security, financial, tournament, dispute, and legal-hold records may follow different periods. Account deactivation uses a 30-day reactivation window. Permanent deletion is subject to the grace period, legal obligations, fraud and dispute needs, and provider-held records.
Copyright, Conduct, and Enforcement
Users must own or have permission to stream, upload, or share content. The DMCA Policy explains copyright notices. D1 uses moderation and audio-fingerprinting controls, but no automated system guarantees complete detection or a legally correct result. Users may use the available dispute or appeal process. Prohibited conduct includes cheating, match fixing, fraud, harassment, doxxing, unauthorized access, ban evasion, and unlawful content.
Availability and Disclaimers
The Platform is provided subject to the Terms of Use, including warranty disclaimers and liability limitations to the extent permitted by law. D1 does not guarantee uninterrupted service, a particular tournament outcome, entry eligibility, prize payment where requirements are unmet, or legal availability in every location. Third-party services such as Stripe, Cloudflare, xAI, Twilio, Printful, and communications or analytics providers operate under their own terms.
