Multi-Protocol Streaming

D1 Arena supports tier-based streaming ingest. Server URLs and stream keys are available from the Hub → Studio → Ingest.

Starter: RTMP up to 720p
PRO: RTMP or SRT up to 720p
Ultimate: RTMP, SRT, or WHIP up to 1080p
Partner: RTMP, SRT, or WHIP up to 2160p
WHIP Playback: Compatible viewers attempt WHEP first and fall back to HLS when needed

Tier enforcement: Starter accounts cannot publish with SRT or WHIP, and PRO accounts cannot publish with WHIP.

Creator Earnings

Supporter Subscriptions: Fans can subscribe at $4.99, $9.99, or $24.99 per month
Creator Product Shares: For creator tips and supporter subscriptions, the product share before processing is 75% on Starter, 82% on PRO, 90% on Ultimate and 95% on Partner. Processing components are separate, so these percentages are not final creator deposits. Review the transaction’s fee breakdown for the amount allocated to the creator.
Advertising: D1 Arena retains advertising revenue; creators do not receive an ad-revenue share under the current configuration
Other Eligible Earnings: Merch and eligible tournament prizes provide separate earning paths
Payouts: Eligible creators connect Stripe Connect and complete applicable identity and account requirements
Transaction History: Review eligible earnings and payout activity in the wallet

Communication

Player Messaging: Send direct messages to other players
Friend Messages and Calls: Accepted D1 friends can exchange direct messages and use voice, video and screen sharing. Conversations with multiple friends support up to 10 eligible participants. Calls start one-to-one and can include up to 10 eligible friends. Friendship, blocking and age controls apply between participants; following an account alone does not grant messaging or calling access. These conversations are separate from Teams, which have their own rosters and Team HQ.

Account Lifecycle

Account Deactivation: Temporarily disable your account with 30-day data retention
Account Deletion: Account deletion follows a 30-day grace period. D1 then removes or de-identifies personal data subject to the retention exceptions in the Privacy Policy, including applicable payment, dispute, security and legal records. Deleting a D1 account does not automatically delete records held by service providers.
Reactivation: Reactivate deactivated accounts via OTP verification

D1-Native Viewer-Side Overlays & Creator Studio

D1 Arena retired the old streamer-side overlay workflow. RTMP broadcasting software is still supported for ingest, but alerts and engagement overlays now render viewer-side inside the D1 player so every viewer can see and hear them in their own language.

Viewer Alerts: Tip, follow, and subscription alert cards render on D1 watch pages with streamer-configured layout and tier branding.
Goal Bar: Follower, subscriber, tip, and custom goals update in real time from WebSocket events and Stripe webhook completion.
Polls & Predictions: Live poll and prediction cards appear in the player and localize the viewer-facing chrome.
Reward Banner: Channel reward redemptions trigger D1-native celebration banners.
Chat TTS: Viewer-side narration uses the viewer locale and streamer-controlled filters instead of burning one language into the broadcast.
Unified Layout: Configure positions and toggles from Hub → Channel → Overlays with a 16:9 preview stage.

Official Cast

Caster Assignment: Assign approved D1 Arena casters to tournaments and focused matches
D1 Ingest: Casters publish through supported D1 Arena RTMP, SRT, or WHIP paths according to account capability

Modern Authentication (Passkeys)

Passkey Login: Sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware security key (YubiKey). No passwords to remember, phishing-resistant by design.
Discoverable Login: Click "Sign in with a passkey" on the login page and pick the right account straight from your device's credential picker.
Email-First Passkey: Enter your email and the passkey prompt appears automatically — no password field shown.
Manage Passkeys: Register unlimited passkeys per account (phone, laptop, hardware key) and delete any of them from Hub → Account → Security.
Fallback Always Available: Passwords and 2FA still work — passkeys are an add-on, never a replacement.

Tournament Integrity Tools

Late-Registration Cutoff: Registration automatically closes when the check-in window opens, or one minute before the tournament starts if check-in is disabled. No last-minute joins disrupting brackets.
Tournament Rules Acknowledgment: When organisers post tournament-specific rules, players see a scrollable rules preview and must check "I agree" before joining. We record the agreement timestamp, IP, and a SHA-256 hash of the rules — so if the organiser edits the rules later we still know exactly what each player agreed to.
Platform-Wide Ban Tiers: Admins can issue warnings, 7-day bans, 30-day bans, or permanent bans for tournament abuse. Bans are account-scoped (cover every tournament), visible on every tournament page while active, and appealable.
Auto Check-In from Live Stream: Players who go live during their check-in window are checked in automatically — no forgotten button leading to forfeit. For teams, auto-check-in triggers once every required member is live.
Tournament VOD / Clip Lock: VODs and clips generated from tournament matches are platform-owned records. Players can watch and share them but cannot edit metadata, change privacy, or delete them — preserving bracket history as an official record. Admins retain override access with audit logging.

Live Chat Translation

On-the-Fly Translation: Stream chat messages are translated in real-time to each viewer's preferred language — no setup required, no language preference needed on either side.
Languages: D1’s player website offers 45 language choices. Live, team and tournament chat support automatic translation, with an option to view the original message.
Original Preserved: Original messages are shown alongside translations so nothing is lost and moderators can always see the source text.
Edge Cached: Common phrases are cached for 24 hours for sub-second translation after first use.

Physical Merchandise: Physical print-on-demand checkout and automatic order submission to Printful are currently unavailable. For an existing purchase, open Purchases in the Hub or contact Support. Existing orders, refunds and disputes remain subject to the applicable purchase terms and Refund Policy.
