D1 Arena Community Guidelines

Our community standards ensure a fair, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all players.
Our Core Values
At D1 Arena, we believe in fair competition, mutual respect, and sportsmanship. These guidelines help maintain a positive environment where everyone can enjoy competitive gaming.
Fair Play
- Play Honestly: Use only your own skills. Cheating, hacking, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized software is strictly prohibited
- No Smurfing: Do not create alternate accounts to manipulate matchmaking or rankings
- Report Accurately: Submit honest match results. False reporting leads to penalties
- Honor Commitments: Show up for scheduled matches. Repeated no-shows affect the community
Respectful Communication
- Be Respectful: Treat all players with courtesy and respect
- No Harassment: Bullying, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory language is not tolerated
- Keep It Clean: Avoid excessive profanity, especially in public channels
- No Spam: Do not flood chats or repeatedly post unwanted content
Account Responsibility
- One Account: Maintain only one active player account
- Accurate Information: Provide truthful information in your profile
- Account Security: Keep your login credentials secure and do not share accounts
- Age Requirements: You must meet minimum age requirements to participate
Content Standards
- Appropriate Content: Profile images, team logos, and usernames must be appropriate for the Platform’s 13-and-older audience
- No Illegal Content: Do not share or promote illegal activities
- Respect Copyright: Only use content you have rights to use
Tipping & Financial Conduct
- Voluntary Tips: Tips are voluntary expressions of appreciation. Never pressure or beg for tips
- No Quid Pro Quo: Do not promise special treatment, content, or favors in exchange for tips
- Honest Representation: Do not misrepresent tip goals, purposes, or how funds will be used
- No Chargeback Fraud: Sending tips then disputing the charge is considered fraud and will result in permanent ban
- Team Tip Transparency: Team owners should communicate clearly about how team tips are distributed
- No Tip Manipulation: Do not use alternate accounts to tip yourself or artificially inflate tip metrics
- Respect Anonymity: If someone tips anonymously, do not attempt to reveal or publicly identify them
- Appropriate Messages: Tip messages must follow all community guidelines - no harassment, hate speech, or inappropriate content
Consequences
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning or temporary restriction
- Tournament disqualification
- Prize forfeiture
- Temporary or permanent account suspension
Reporting Violations
Help us maintain a positive community:
- Use the in-platform report feature for immediate issues
- Contact Support for detailed reports
- Provide evidence when possible (screenshots, match IDs)
Appeals
If you believe an action was taken against your account in error, contact our Support Center to request a review.
Real Money Trading (RMT)
Real money trading of in-game items, accounts, or services outside of official D1 Arena features is strictly prohibited. This includes:
- Selling or buying accounts
- Trading in-game currency for real money
- Offering boosting or leveling services for payment
Personal Information (Doxxing)
Sharing or threatening to share personal information about any user without their consent is strictly prohibited. This includes:
- Real names (if not publicly shared by the user)
- Home addresses or locations
- Phone numbers or email addresses
- Financial information
- Private social media accounts
Adult and NSFW Content
D1 Arena requires users to be at least 13. The following content is prohibited:
- Nudity or sexually explicit content
- Sexual solicitation
- Content depicting sexual acts
- Excessive profanity in stream titles or usernames
Violence and Graphic Content
While competitive gaming may involve in-game violence, the following is prohibited:
- Real-world violence or threats of violence
- Gore or extreme graphic content
- Animal abuse
- Glorification of violent acts
Self-Harm and Mental Health
We care about our community. Content that promotes or glorifies self-harm or suicide is prohibited.

D1 may provide crisis or safety resources when appropriate, but D1 is not an emergency service.
AI Moderation
D1 Arena uses AI-powered moderation (xAI/Grok) to assist with enforcing community guidelines. AI moderation helps detect:
- Toxic or harassing chat messages
- Inappropriate stream content
- Policy-violating ad creatives
- Uploaded images that violate our guidelines
AI may flag, hold, limit, or remove content under D1 controls. Available enforcement actions can be appealed through the Support Center for administrator review.
Voice, Video, and Screen-Sharing Conduct
These rules apply to D1-native Watch Party communications, friend calls, Team HQ, and any other voice, camera, or screen-sharing surface. These communication rules also apply to supported multi-person friend conversations and calls, in addition to direct messages, Team HQ and Watch Parties.
- Consent and recording: Do not record, capture, monitor, or redistribute another person's voice, video, or screen without authorization and any consent required by law.
- Protect private information: Do not expose passwords, payment information, private messages, identity documents, addresses, or other sensitive data through camera or screen sharing.
- No sexual or exploitative conduct: Nudity, sexual content, grooming, coercion, or sexual solicitation is prohibited. Any sexual content involving a minor must be reported immediately and may be referred to the appropriate authorities.
- No harassment or evasion: Do not use calls or rooms to threaten, harass, doxx, impersonate, evade blocks, evade age-band controls, or pressure someone to enable a camera or share a screen.
- Host and team controls: Watch Party hosts and authorized Team HQ roles may restrict or remove participants. Those controls do not excuse policy violations.
- Blocking and reports: Respect blocks, friendship requirements, room permissions, and participant removals. Use the report and support flows when conduct violates these Guidelines.
D1 currently processes authentication, signaling, roster, safety, and activity metadata needed to operate native communications. The current implementation does not record or store call media.
Content ID & Copyright Strikes
D1 Arena uses an in-house Content ID system to protect intellectual property:
- Strike 1: Warning notification with offending content identified
- Strike 2: Temporary streaming restriction (24-72 hours)
- Strike 3: Extended streaming restriction and manual review required
- Repeated violations may result in permanent account suspension
- All strikes can be appealed through the dispute process
D1 Cred Abuse
The following D1 Cred activities are prohibited:
- Using bots or automated tools to farm D1 Cred
- Exploiting bugs to gain unfair D1 Cred advantages
- Creating fake accounts to accumulate D1 Cred
- Manipulating predictions or polls through coordinated behavior
Advertising Guidelines
Advertisers on D1 Arena must comply with the following:
- Ad creatives must be truthful and not misleading
- No promotion of illegal products, gambling, or age-restricted content to minors
- No impersonation of D1 Arena or other brands
- All ads are subject to AI and human review before serving
- Violation of advertising guidelines will result in campaign suspension and potential advertiser account termination
Tournament Integrity & Anti-Abuse
Tournaments are the core of D1 Arena. The following behaviours are grounds for enforcement that ranges from a warning to a permanent platform-wide ban, depending on severity:
- Match Fixing / Collusion: Coordinating with an opponent to predetermine match outcomes. Permanent ban on first offense for paid tournaments.
- Sandbagging: Deliberately losing to manipulate seeding or matchmaking.
- Smurfing in Ranked Tournaments: Competing under an alternate account to face lower-skilled opposition.
- No-Show Abuse: Registering and repeatedly failing to appear for check-in or matches.
- Dispute Abuse: Filing false or bad-faith disputes to delay or overturn legitimate results.
- Chargeback Fraud: Registering for paid tournaments and disputing the charge. Permanent ban.
- Bracket Disruption: Spamming tournament chat, trolling in match lobbies, or coordinated harassment of opponents.
Platform-Wide Ban Tiers
When a tournament ban is issued against your D1 Arena account you'll be notified in-app and by email. A ban notice appears on every tournament detail page showing the active tier, reason, and expiry:
- Warning: No time-based restriction but logged against your account. Repeated warnings escalate to a 7-day ban.
- 7-Day Ban: Cannot register for any D1 Arena tournament for 7 days.
- 30-Day Ban: Cannot register for any D1 Arena tournament for 30 days.
- Permanent Ban: Cannot register for any future D1 Arena tournaments. Appeals reviewed case-by-case.
Tournament Rules Acknowledgment
When an organiser posts tournament-specific rules, you must check the "I agree to the tournament rules" box before joining. Your agreement is timestamped with your IP address and a hash of the rules you saw — creating an immutable record even if the organiser edits the rules later. You are responsible for reading the rules before agreeing — "I didn't know" is not a valid appeal defence.
Tournament VOD & Clip Protection
VODs and clips automatically generated during tournament matches are platform-owned records of play. This is a community-protection feature: preserving an unedited record of what happened in each match protects the integrity of bracket results and supports the dispute process. You can view and share these recordings but cannot modify metadata, change privacy, or delete them. This does not apply to streams outside of tournament windows — your regular streaming VODs remain fully under your control.
Appeals
Every tournament ban and every content strike can be appealed through the Support Center within 14 days of the action. Appeals are reviewed by a human moderator (never automated). Successful appeals are marked "Overturned" in your strike history (rather than "Expired") so your record accurately reflects the outcome.
