What D1 Arena Is
D1 Arena brings esports tournaments, live streaming, VODs and clips, creator support, teams, and community communication together in one platform. Creators can stream and build a community independently, while players, organizers and shoutcasters can combine these tools around competitive events. Advertisers manage campaigns through a separate advertiser account.
Why We Built It
D1 Arena wasn’t born in a boardroom. It started back in 2024 out of years of frustration with competitive gaming events that just didn’t work right — clunky brackets, payouts that took forever, support tickets that vanished into a black hole, and tools that felt glued together instead of built together. What We Offer
- Competitive Tournaments: Free-entry and eligible prize-pool events with single elimination, double elimination, round robin, and Swiss formats, plus recorded payment-hold, result-review, and approved payout workflows
- Native Live Streaming: Broadcast to D1 using RTMP, SRT, or WHIP, with access and maximum resolution determined by membership tier
- VODs & Clips: Automatic recordings and a fast clip system, played back in the D1 player
- Creator Earnings: For creator tips and supporter subscriptions, the product share before processing is 75% on Starter, 82% on PRO, 90% on Ultimate and 95% on Partner. Processing components are separate, so these percentages are not final creator deposits. Review the transaction’s fee breakdown for the amount allocated to the creator.
- Team Management: Create and manage a team, recruit players, compete together, and use Team HQ text, voice, camera, and screen sharing
- Watch Parties: Co-watch D1 VOD replays with synchronized playback, party chat, and host-controlled native voice, camera, and screen sharing
- Friend Messages and Calls: Accepted D1 friends can exchange direct messages and use voice, video and screen sharing. Conversations with multiple friends support up to 10 eligible participants. Calls start one-to-one and can include up to 10 eligible friends. Friendship, blocking and age controls apply between participants; following an account alone does not grant messaging or calling access. These conversations are separate from Teams, which have their own rosters and Team HQ.
- Community Tools: Live chat with real-time translation, channel points, gifted subscriptions, viewer-side D1 alerts, and chat text-to-speech
Built and Operated by D1 Arena
D1 Arena owns and operates its core tournament, streaming, VOD and clip, advertising, community, and creator-economy application stack. The platform also relies on disclosed infrastructure and service providers for functions such as payments and identity (Stripe), AI processing (xAI), edge security (Cloudflare), messaging and verification, fulfillment, and selected media or metadata services.

Streaming Technology
D1 Arena supports tier-based ingest options and playback fallbacks:
- Starter: RTMP ingest up to 720p
- PRO: RTMP or SRT ingest up to 720p
- Ultimate: RTMP, SRT, or WHIP ingest up to 1080p
- Partner: RTMP, SRT, or WHIP ingest up to 2160p
- WHIP Playback: Compatible viewers attempt WHEP first and fall back to HLS when needed
Platform at a Glance
D1 communication is built into the platform: Team HQ, friend messages and calls, Watch Parties, in-app alerts and email. Discord account linking, role sync, automated Discord notifications and the former casting bridge have been retired.

- Watch Parties: D1-only synchronized VOD viewing with chat and host-controlled native voice, camera, and screen sharing

- Official Cast: Organizers can use assigned D1 shoutcasters for tournament coverage. Each caster broadcasts through their own D1 channel using the streaming protocols available to their plan, and the tournament can feature an assigned caster’s live broadcast and recording. A shared caster booth and server-side microphone mixing are not currently available.
- Languages: D1’s player website offers 45 language choices. Live, team and tournament chat support automatic translation, with an option to view the original message.
- Payments: Stripe-powered (Connect Express for payouts, Identity for verification)
- Security: 2FA (TOTP, Email, SMS), Cloudflare WAF, CrowdSec, fail2ban

Team HQ: Authorized team members collaborate in an authenticated HQ with text, voice, camera, and screen sharing. Team HQ is not a public discovery surface.

Passkeys: Players and admins can register WebAuthn passkeys for passwordless login.
Game discovery uses D1’s Steam-fed catalog (RAWG residual only).
